Declaración EITI FALCONDO

Falconbridge Dominicana (Falcondo) se ha comprometido de manera voluntaria con la INICIATIVA PARA LA TRANSPARENCIA DE LAS INDUSTRIAS EXTRACTIVAS (EITI por sus siglas en inglés).

Desde el año 2015 y mediante actos de asamblea celebrados por la Cámara Minera Petrolera en 2018 y 2020,  somos miembro titular del grupo multipartícipe operativo compuesto por el gobierno, las empresas y la sociedad civil, con participación plena, independiente, activa y efectiva.

A la fecha hemos participado de la elaboración de cuatro reportes EITI-RD, los cuales incluyen el cotejo de los pagos realizados al gobierno de la República Dominicana.  En Falcondo, estamos empeñados en promover altos niveles de transparencia y rendición de cuentas de nuestra actividad económica.

Falconbridge Dominicana (Falcondo) has voluntarily committed to the EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRIES TRANSPARENCY INITIATIVE (EITI).

Since 2015 and through assembly acts held by the Mining and Oil Chamber in 2018 and 2020 and with full, independent, active and effective participation, we have been a titular member of the multi-stakeholder operating group integrated by the government, companies and civil society.

To date we have participated in the preparation of four EITI-RD reports, which include the reconciliation of payments made to the government of the Dominican Republic. At Falcondo, we are committed to promoting high levels of transparency and accountability of our economic activity.
