Falcondo sigue innovando para mantenerse a la vanguardia de los tiempos, es por esto que para satisfacer la demanda de nuestros clientes, recientemente se completó el proyecto de granulación, pasando de producir ferroconos a material granulado.

La granulación no es mas que formar granos o gránulos de metal para mejor manejo.

A través de este método, se logra un proceso mucho mas ágil y eficiente, ya que se reduce el % de recirculación de entre 12 y 15% a un rango de 4 a 6%.

El impacto al medio ambiente se minimiza, ya que no usamos calcio hidratado ni polvo de carbón. Además con el proceso anterior, el 75% del agua usada iba al ambiente y con el proceso actual, mas de 1350 metros cúbicos de agua por hora son recirculados para enfriar el material fundido.

Este tipo de producto es el preferido por los clientes, ya que al ser más pequeño es mucho más manejable en los procesos automáticos de nuestros clientes y se logra un proceso de fundido mucho más rápido.

Through this method, a much more agile and efficient process is achieved, since the % of recirculation is reduced between 12 and 15% to a range of 4 to 6%.

The impact on the environment is minimized, since we do not use hydrated calcium or carbon dust. In addition to the previous process, 75% of the water used went to the environment and with the current process, more than 1350 cubic meters of water per hour are recirculated to cool the molten material.

This type of product is preferred by customers, since being smaller is much more manageable in the automatic processes of our customers and a much faster melting process is achieved.

Mining process

We use the method of "Selective mining" in our open pits, in which we replaced the big mining equipment with smaller and flexible equipment for the extraction of the ore.

Production of the ore will be implemented during the day light and with direct supervision by experts Engineers, Geologists and Technician Geologist. Nickel grades will be controlled at the mine fronts. In this way we will achieve much less dilution of the useful ore with the sterile material. Nickel concentration will be increased in smaller quantities and as a result this will reduce the operational and production cost.

Through this method, the reforestation requirements are reduced and the life of mines will be significantly increased.

Additionally better management of the non-profitable ore will be dumped in specific locations close to the mining areas, categorized by nickel grades, in order to be used in the future for the next generations.

 

Nuestros Gránulos o producto final están compuestos de un 30 a 40% de Nickel contenido, libre de impurezas, dessulfurizado y desfosforizado, con un tamaño de 5 a 30 milímetros.
